Rotary drum tumblers

Space-saving efficiency in vibratory finishing

Rotary drum tumblers are the most compact and simplest form of vibratory finishing and impress above all with their enormous space savings, requiring only 1.2 m² of floor space. This system is the ideal solution for deburring, cleaning and polishing small to medium-sized batches while keeping investment costs low. Thanks to the closed design and robust stainless-steel base frame, various finishing processes such as ball polishing can be integrated into day-to-day production flexibly and cost-effectively.

How rotary drum tumblers work

The operating principle of our rotary drum tumblers is based on rotation within a closed system. The workpieces are placed in the drum together with the media and the appropriate compound; the drive sets the drum in continuous rotation. This creates a constant relative movement of the mixture inside the drum, ensuring uniform material removal on all edges and surfaces. Depending on requirements, two drums can be used simultaneously to process different workpieces at the same time or to guarantee strict batch purity. A high-quality lining made of wear-resistant polyurethane protects both the drum and the components from damage.

Fields of application

The application range of rotary drum tumblers extends across numerous industries in which small to medium-sized parts must be finished with precision. These systems demonstrate their strengths particularly in edge rounding, deburring or high-gloss polishing of small series parts. Thanks to the option of selecting different drum sizes from 9 to 50 liters in volume, the system can be matched precisely to the respective batch size. The integrated separation unit in the machine frame also enables quick and easy separation of the workpieces from the media after the process is complete. This makes them the perfect choice for companies looking for an economical, low-maintenance solution for changing finishing tasks in the smallest possible space.

Barrel finisher RTS

Our RTS system combines the basic principles of mass finishing with modern technology. The integrated separating device has a collection container for grinding media that can be conveniently emptied at the front. Two drums can be operated in parallel – ideal for processing different workpieces in the same work cycle.
